- According to Das Disney Synchron Archiv, the title song "When You Wish Upon a Star" was left in English in the original version.
However, extracts of the first dub could only be found on a 60s vinyl/LP : modifications could have been made for this LP release.

- About the 1973 dub :
- The 2012 book Filmgenres: Animationfilm miscredits Stefan Sczodrok as Lampwick, while voice-actor Abelardo Decamilli confirms on his website he voiced the character in this dub.
- Oliver Rohrbeck, who voices Pinocchio, was only 7 years-old at the time, and could not read well; Georg Thomalla, the voice of Jiminy, and Harald Juhnke, the voice of Honest John, would read the lines for him so that he could repeat them in the mic.
