  • Release date :
    Hungary - March 9, 1961 (Cinema)
Even though the recordings were made in 1958, it seems the movie only premiered in 1961.
  • This was the first Disney animated feature to be dubbed into Hungarian; and the oldest dub still in use.
  • It seems a re-dub of the movie was considered in 1985, following some rules about dubbing regulation in Hungary. Eventually, the original 1958 was kept and shown in theaters again.

  • In that same newspaper, Wessely Ferenc, adaptor and lyricist of the dub, described Pap Éva as Cinderella and Tiboldi Mária as her singing voice - while Mária, and later, her son, said she only sang the song "So This Is Love".
Both Éva and Mária were just 19 years-old when they dubbed Cinderella, and they both died in 2023 at 84 years-old.
  • Sennyei Vera, the voice of Lady Tremaine, died on May 28, 1962 from breast cancer; she was 47 years-old.
  • Márkus László, the voice of Gus, died on December 30, 1985 of an heart attack in his dressing room. He was 58 years-old.
  • Deeply affected by WW2, during which he lost his parents, Rozsos István, the voice of the Grand Duke, died from suicide on February 17, 1963. He was 40 years-old.
  • Garics János, the voice of the Prince, died on May 5, 1984, at 56 years-old.
  • Latabár Árpád, the voice of the King, died on December 1, 1961, at 58 years-old.
  • Pap Éva was credited as Papp Éva.
  • Tiboldi Mária was miscredited as Tiboldy Mária.
  • Tolnay Klári, the voice of the Fairy Godmother, was miscredited as Tolnai Klári.
  • Sennyei Vera was miscredited as Senyei Vera.
  • Gombos Katalin was credited as Gombos Kati.
