- Release dates :
Brazil - July 10, 1942 (1st Brazilian dubbing) (Premiere) (Cinema)
Brazil - July 13, 1942 (1st Brazilian dub) (Cinema) (National release)
Brazil - July 9, 1973 (2nd Brazilian dub) (Cinema)
Brazil - October 1998 (3rd Brazilian dub) (VHS) - The "Song of the Roustabouts" wasn't dubbed and left in English in the 1942 and 1973 dubbings.
- The 1998 VHS displayed the 1973 Opening Titles with the 1973 cast instead of the 1998 cast - but still included the new dubbing.
- About the 1st dub (1942) :
- It was recorded in 1941, along with Bambi, The Reluctant Dragon and some shorts of Mickey Mouse.
Source : Newspaper "A Scena Muda" 11-Aug-1942 - This was the only time João de Barro dubbed a Disney character. It's Walt Disney himself who suggested him as Timothy when he came to Brazil to present Fantasia in August 1940. He won a golden watch from Walt for his great work at translating and directing "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Pinocchio".
- It was rumored that Verna Felton dubbed Mrs. Jumbo in this first Brazilian dubbing, but this has been proven wrong.
- While its first line was done by the choir, it seems the line of Casey Junior ("I think I can [...] I thought I could"), was recorded by an unknown foreign actor, as an accent can be heard.
- Uby Vianna was miscredited as Umy Viana.
- Norival Torquato Reis was miscredited as Lourival Torquato.
- It was recorded in 1941, along with Bambi, The Reluctant Dragon and some shorts of Mickey Mouse.
- About the 2nd dub (1973) :
- It seems that one of the reason leading to the 1973 re-dubbing was the use of familiar language in the first dub.
Source : Newspaper "O Jornal" 27-Jul-1973 - João Zacharias was miscredited as João Zacarias.
- It seems that one of the reason leading to the 1973 re-dubbing was the use of familiar language in the first dub.
- About the 3rd dub (1998) :
- This dubbing used the 1973 recordings of Casey Junior.
- Mabel Cezar, the voice of Catty, was miscredited as Mabel Cesar.
- Luiz Feier Motta, the voice of Fat Crow, was credited as Luis Feier.
