  • The added song "If I Never Knew You" can only be found on the 2005 DVD.
  • Because of the comedian's strike at that time in France, Canadian singer Judith Bérard sang the song "Colors of the Wind" for the trailer. She was eventually replaced by Laura Mayne for the movie, but returned in 1998 in the sequel "Pocahontas 2: Journey to a New World".
  • Yumi Fujimori, the voice of Nakoma, was originally chosen as the speaking voice of Pocahontas. But Disney decided to use star-talent, and famous actress Mathilda May was eventually chosen. However, Yumi will return as Pocahontas in the sequel in 1998.

  • *The work of "Detection" was to detect the words and all the noises that the actors make with the mouth, to know everything that needs to be dubbed.
    "Calligraphy" was the work of the person who manually copies the text that the dubber will say onto a transparent strip, which will scroll under the film to be dubbed.
  • Marc Alfos, the voice of Ben, died on August 3, 2012, at 56 years-old.
