- While Disney started to dub their animated features in Taiwan with "The Little Mermaid" in 1991, this movie was the first to be dubbed for its initial release in China instead. Taiwan and China will start producing two different dubs starting with "Mulan" in 1998; but the Mandarin Chinese dub of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is still the dub in use in Taiwan today.
However, the sequel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II" was dubbed in Taiwan, and doesn't have a Mainland Mandarin Chinese version. - The performers (soloist singer and background voices) of the end-credits song "Someday" are from Hong Kong and also performed the Cantonese version of that song for the Cantonese dub.
- Chéng Xiǎo-Huà (程晓桦), the voice of Quasimodo's Mother, was miscredited as Chéng Xiāo-Huà (程哓桦).
- Tián Guó-Ān (田国安), the singing voice of Hugo, might actually be lyricist Tián Guǒ-Ān (田果安) miscredited.
- "John Wu" Hú Qǐ-Róng (胡启荣), the Executive Producer, is originally Cantonese, and his named is romanized as Wu4 Kai2-Wing4.
