The role of Zazu was first dubbed by Uwe Paulsen, who recorded the whole movie. However, he was eventually replaced by Eberhard Prüter. But Uwe's recording in "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" can still be heard in the soundtracks, even in 2003 next to "The Morning Report", sung by Eberhard Prüter.

Unless a similar case happened with Rafiki's voice, Leon Boden was miscredited in the role of Rafiki on the 1994 Soundtrack Cassette and 1997 Soundtrack.
Magdalena Turba, the voice of Young Nala, returned in the 2019 remake as Adult Nala; while Alexandra Wilcke, the voice of Adult Nala, returned as Sarabi.
Jocelyn B. Smith, the singer of "Circle of Life", is an American singer, who moved to Germany in 1984.
Wolfgang Kühne, the voice of Mufasa, died of a heart attack on March 14, 2008. He was 54 years-old.
