  • Jean Reno reprised his role as Mufasa, that he dubbed in the animated movie in 1994.
  • The French lyrics for the song "Be Prepared" were sightly altered for this version, from "Soyez Prêts" (Be Prepared, male form) to "Soyez Prêtes" (Be Prepared, female form), with some rimes and lines being changed as well.
  • For unknown reasons, it seems that for the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", the French version used Seth Rogen's original performance for Pumbaa's beatboxing; but they credited Nicholas Savard L'Herbier, the Quebec voice of Timon, alongside Timon's French voice.
