  • Jean Reno reprised his role as Mufasa, whom he dubbed in the animated movie in 1994.
  • For unknown reasons, it seems that for the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", the French version used Seth Rogen's original performance for Pumbaa's beatboxing; but they credited Nicholas Savard L'Herbier, the Quebec voice of Timon, alongside Timon's French voice.
