Finland - December 22, 1978 (Finnish subs) (Cinema)
Finland - 1997 (Finnish dub) - The sequel "The Rescuers Down Under" was dubbed in 1991, before the dub of the first movie.
- Hector, stage name of Heikki Veikko Harma, originally wrote Finnish lyrics for the songs for the 1978 LP. His lyrics were then used in 1997 when the movie was dubbed - and he even took part in the dub as Luke, character who will be named after him.
- Even though Finland started dubbing in 1962, and dubbed Disney movies for their original release since The Sword in the Stone in 1965, The Rescuers is the rare occasion in which a dub wasn't made for its cinema release. Other movies concerned are The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) and The Black Cauldron (1985), which will both be dubbed for later re-issues.
