- Release dates :
France - November 16, 2016 (Grand Rex cinema Premiere)
France - November 30, 2016 - The performances of Cerise Calixte (Moana) and Anthony Kavanagh (Maui) from the European French dubbing, both speaking and singing, were used in the Quebec version. The two actors only dubbed again the parts in which Moana's name is pronounced, as she is called Vaiana in France and Moana in Quebec.
- Johanne Garneau's singing as Tala was used in the European French soundtrack; because of that, she was miscredited as Tala's French singing voice in the European French credits of the movie. The same happened with Alice Déry as Toddler Moana in the choir of "Where You Are".
- In the scene where Maui half-turns into a shark, Anthony improvised and lispes, and the director liked it so it was kept as such in the final recording.
- Mery Lanzafame, the singing voice of Sina, was credited as Méry Lanzafamme.
