Iceland - May 10, 1939 (English version)
Iceland - October 21, 2001 (DVD) - Vigdís Hrefna Pálsdóttir was asked to try out for Snow White by the dubbing director Júlíus Agnarsson and got the part out of 3 girls who auditionned for the role. Vigdís loved the experience and thinks it is one of Iceland's best dubbings. However she did not like the Icelandic lyrics of the song "With a Smile and a Song", so she proposed another translation and her lyrics were kept. She also really wanted to sing Snow White's vocalizations but Disney USA didn't approve it.
- The Narrator isn't mentioned in the credits.
LP version (1978)In 1978, a rare LP was made in Icelandic featuring Sow White's story and songs. Translation was done by Svavar Gestsson. Lyrics were written by Baldur Pálmason, and those were kept in the official Icelandic dubbing (with some modifications). Þórhallur Sigurðsson, who did the singing of the Dwarfs, will return as Doc in the official dubbing in 2001. The cast is as such :

- Ólöf Kolbrún Harðardóttir, singing as Snow White in this LP, studied opera singing in Italy in the 60s, and was taught by Lina Pagliughi, the Italian 1938 voice of Snow White.
She thought at first she was cast for a real dubbing, but learnt later it was for a LP.
