    Argentina / Chile / Peru - January 18, 2001
    Mexico - April 6, 2001
  • The deleted song "Snuff Out the Light", originally kept in the Soundtrack, was adapted for the Spanish soundtrack as well (not present in the movie), and performed by Alma Delia Pérez, who will become Yzma's singing voice in the 2005 sequel "Kronk's New Groove".
Similarly, another of the deleted song was translated into Spanish for the soundtrack, "Walk the Llama Llama", originally supposed to be sung by Pacha - but which ended on the soundtrack and on the DVD as bonus extra performed by Rascal Flatts.

  • It was the first Disney movie to be released in the United States with its Spanish dubbing, alongside the original version, due to the important Hispanic population in the country.

  • Actor Arath de la Torre was originally chosen for the role of Kuzco, and recorded the whole part. But Raúl Aldana, the Creative Executive, did not like the result; Jesús Barrero, who had previously dubbed the character for the trailer, was called and dubbed the parts in one day.
