Source : Morgunblaðið - June 9, 1996 - The Icelandic credits countain many typos (all corrected on this page).
- Helgi Skúlason, the speaking voice of Frollo, and Bríet Héðinsdóttir, the voice of Laverne, never saw the final result of the dubbing : they died, respectively, on September 1996 and October 1996.
- Bríet Héðinsdóttir was the mother of Steinunn Ólína Þorsteinsdóttir, who was the Dubbing director and the voice of Quasimodo's mother.
- In the Icelandic dubbing, Frollo is named "Kári". However, an error is made in the scene where Quasimodo hides Phoebus under the table. Phoebus is talking to Quasimodo and says 'Frollo'. However in the same conversation, Quasimodo talks also about Frollo, but referring him 'Kári'.
- Felix Bergsson said he found the singing parts in "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" really difficult compared to Aladdin's and was close to being replaced.
- Laddi was originally cast as Clopin, but was eventually replaced by Guðmundur Ólafsson.
- Edda Heiðrún Backman, the voice of Esmeralda, eventually died on October 1, 2016 of MND (Motor Neuron Disease) after being diagnosed in 2004. She was 58 years-old.
- Esmeralda was Edda Backman's favourite role to dub, and the song "God Help the Outcasts" is, for her, the most beautiful Disney song she's ever heard.
