For the 1997 release, for unknown reasons, the songs got redubbed by their original Japanese singers, with new lyrics. However, the song's titles remained the same.
It seems Konoe Hidetake (近衛秀健) returned as the Lyricist in 1997, as he's still credited on the DVDs and BLU-RAYs, and is also mentioned on the 2023 live-action credits as well.
It is unknown if the Choir was redubbed as well; if yes, it is unknown if the 1991 Choir returned to sing again.
The rest of the dubbing was unchanged.
*The official Japanese credits do not mention the voices of Scuttle, Grimsby, Carlotta and the Seahorse. Their voice actors and actress are only mentioned among the additional voices.
