  • Originally, the movie title was "Bjargvættirnir í Ástralíu" which is a direct translation of the original. However, when it was released on VHS in 1998 it had the title "Benni og Birta í Ástralíu" (Bernard & Bianca in Australia).
  • The movie was never released on DVD/BLU-RAY - only on VHS. However, the Icelandic track can be found on the 2002 Swedish and Finnish DVDs.
  • The first movie "The Rescuers" is not dubbed into Icelandic.
  • Jón St. Kristjánsson, the Translator and Lyricist, was miscredited as Jón Stefán Kristjánsson.
