France - December 4, 2013 - At first, Coralie Thuilier, the voice of 5 years-old Anna was chosen for 9 years-old Anna as well, but her voice was considered too kiddish.
Knowing that Emmylou Homs has dubbed a lot of young girls already, the French directors made her try and chose her.
Source : Emmylou Homs - Emmylou Homs was still 18 years-old when she dubbed Anna.
- Anaïs Delva first auditioned for the role of Anna, before being called by the directors to audition for Elsa instead.
Source : Anaïs Delva - At first, Dany Boon was only Olaf speaking voice. Disney thought he couldn't sing and wouldn't record the songs.
Guillaume Beaujolais stepped in and auditionned for Olaf singing voice, but then the French production asked him to pass an audition for Hans, as they thought his voice was close to Santino Fontana's. He eventually got the role, for speaking and singing.
Emmanuel Curtil was then chosen to dub the singing of Olaf, and recorded the songs for the soundtrack. But at the last moment, Dany Boon asked Disney USA to try the singing part as well and they accepted after hearing him.
That explains why it's actually Emmanuel Curtil's version on the soundtrack, and Dany Boon who sings in the movie. Emmanuel Curtil will reprise the role of Olaf in Frozen Fever and Olaf's Frozen Adventure.
Sources : Dany Boon / Guillaume Beaujolais - Just like in Tangled, the lyrics of the songs are the same in the European French and Quebec French dub. But furthermore, Quebec used Anaïs Delva as the singing voice of Elsa too, dubbing only the speaking of Elsa.
- Oaken's voice is the same in both France and Quebec versions, both countries used the same dubbing.
