  • Release dates :
    France - March 29, 1950 (Cinema) (1st French dub)
    France - 1992 (VHS) (2nd French dub)
  • About the 1st dub (1950) :
    • As usual for the time, the opening credits of the VHS present a list of the voice actors and actresses, without specifying their roles.
    • About 10 minutes of the movie were cut for this release, mostly during the introduction of Dinah Shore and Bongo's tale and during the short "Mickey and the Beanstalk".
      Source : Les Grands Classiques
    • For unknown reason, during the first scene in the farm until he tries to kill the cow, the original English version by Clarence Nash is used for Donald. Jacques Bodoin then dubbed Donald in the other scenes of the movie.
    • Although Jacques Bodoin stated in an interview that he dubbed Donald, Mickey and Jiminy in this dubbing, and that Camille Guérini dubbed the character in other features, it seems Jacques was actually only the singing voice of the character.
So, it seems Camille Guérini did reprise his role as Jiminy Cricket, whom he previously dubbed in 1944 in the first dubbing of "Pinocchio".
    • Jiminy Cricket is called here Jiminy Grillon, the same name he was called in the first two dubbing of "Pinocchio", until the partial redub in 1995 when he was called again and in his following appearances, Jiminy Cricket.
    • Germaine Sablon is credited on the 1950 poster alongside Edgar Bergen, proving her participation in the dubbing; however, without specifying her role.
    • Mireille Gervais had previously dubbed Luana Patten in "Song of the South" (1946), dubbed and released the year before (1949) in France.
  • About the 2nd dub (1992) :
    • The short Bongo was dubbed separately from the rest of the movie. The two shorts and the live-action narration (as well as Jiminy Cricket's part) were all adapted by different people.
There is a possibility that the two shorts, "Bongo" & "Mickey and the Beanstalk" were actually dubbed in 1992 for some VHS releases of mini-classics; and that these two dubbings were then used in 1997 when the whole film was released on home media, at what time only the live-action narration and the whole appearance of Jiminy Cricket were dubbed. However, Georges Costa remembers directing all the songs in the early 90s only - if someone has more information about that, please contact me.
    • Just like Camille Guérini, Roger Carel reprised his role as Jiminy Cricket, whom he dubbed in the 1975 re-dub of "Pinocchio".
    • Marie Ruggeri, the voice of Dinah Shore, was miscredited as Marie Ruggieri.
