Taiwan - July 4, 1998 - In the original English version, the directors decided to use the Cantonese pronunciation of Mulan's family name "花" ("Fa"). In Mandarin, the surname of the character is pronounced as Hua.
- Jackie Chan (成龍) is also the voice of Shang in the Cantonese dubbing, and his recordings in Mandarin were used for both China and Taiwan dubbings.
- A Music Video of Jackie Chan's Mandarin perfomance of "Make A Man Out Of You" was made.
- CoCo Lee (李玟), the voice of Mulan, died by suicide after battling depression for many years. She was found dead at her home on June 2 and was sent to the hospital, where she died three days later. She was 48 years-old.
Source : weibo - Léi Wēi-Yuǎn (雷威遠), the voice of the First Ancestor, died on March 2003 from a heart attack while shooting a movie. He was around 46 years-old.
