The movie was originally planned to be released on March 26, 2020 in Italy, but was postponed to be finally released only on Disney+ because of Covid-19. - Roberto Draghetti, the voice of Sergeant Qiang, never saw the result of the movie, as he died of a heart attack on July 24, 2020, one month short of his 60th birthday.
- Melina Martello, the voice of the Matchmaker here, was the voice of Fa Li in the animated movie in 1998.
