  • Release dates :
    Norway - April 14, 1952 (Cinema) (1st Norwegian dub)
    Norway - 2004? (VHS/DVD) (Norwegian modifications)
  • Even though "Alice in Wonderland" was released one year earlier in Norway with a Norwegian dub; "Fun and Fancy Free" was the first Disney movie to get dubbed into Norwegian, with the process starting in 1950.
    Source : Unknown newspaper 29-Jul-1950
  • The movie was advertised back in 1952 simply either as "Bongo", or by its English title, "Fun and Fancy Free".
The 1983 rental VHS re-titled the movie as "Bongo og Mikke og bønnestengelen".
It was eventually titled "Gøy og gammen" for its home-media and digital releases.
  • In 2004?, the segment "Mickey and the Beanstalk" was redubbed with the modern voices of the characters - with the exception of the Singing Harp. Her parts, as well as the rest of the film, were left untouched.
Unlike what can be read on the internet, Jiminy Cricket's parts were not redubbed on this occasion. The original 1952 version is still the one in use.
  • Jiminy Cricket kept his original name in the Norwegian version of "Fun and Fancy Free", and is not called Timmi Gresshoppe, as he would in 1995 when a Norwegian dub of "Pinocchio" was eventually made.
  • Jens Gunderssen, the voice of Edger Bergen, was often credited as Jens Gundersen in newspapers; while Britt Nesheim, the voice of Luana Patten, was often credited as Brit Neisheim.
