- Release date :
Norway - November 29, 1990 - Just like the Swedish version, the Norwegian dubbing underwent censorship for its release in theaters in 1990, and again in 1998. Two scenes were censored : The Sunken Ship and the Final Battle; as well as a short sequence when Ursula laughs at the end of Ariel's voice. The uncensored full version of the movie was eventually released in 2006.
- Sissel Kyrkjebø also dubbed Ariel in the Swedish version of the movie, and sang for the character in the Danish version.
